Throughout my childhood, I was fascinated and inspired by the works of Ansel Adams, Edward Hopper, Claude Monet, and the French impressionists.   Their use of vibrant colors, reflections, and soft light, as well as their eye for scene composition, just spoke to me.

During my twenties, my interest in photography soared as I managed a company that produced and sold computer software designed to organize and label film slides.  I later became close friends with a New York City fire investigator, who taught me to trust myself when taking pictures, because I had “an eye for photography.”  He said an “eye” isn’t something you can learn, but you can hone your skills to shoot remarkable photographs. His belief in me motivated my journey to challenge myself, manually shoot photographs, and experiment with light and composition.  As a result, I can now capture with a camera the images I first envision in my mind.

Point to Shoot was created after I was given an amazing opportunity to travel on an African photo safari. The pictures I took sparked people’s interest, creating a market for my photographs.  And now, through nature and wildlife photography, I enjoy the experience of sharing and teaching my vision of the Western United States and the world.

I shoot all of my photographs in manual modes and enjoy using the camera to capture what my mind has always seen.  I hope you enjoy my work. Please visit my facebook page too!
